OBO Bettermann Hungary Kft. was founded in Fall of 1993 in Budapest, by Mr. Ulrich L. Bettermann, President of OBO Bettermann Group.

Initially the group member in Hungary was an assembly line of the production plant in Menden/Germany for connection and fastening systems. As a next step, commercial trading was started in Hungary in 1994.

Due to a dynamic growth OBO Bettermann Hungary Kft. grew out its site in Budapest after 3 years, so in 1996 a 20 hectare industrial brownfield estate was purchased near Bugyi.

The renewed production halls, warehouse and office area were opened very soon: extended production could have started in 1997.

The company site gained the titel „industrial park” in 1999. Our well equipped offices meet all kind of requirements of the 21^st century. The excellent infrastructure inside the industrial park, good access to motorway network and to a well-qualified labour pool are our core competence to inspire long term investments by the OBO Bettermann Group in Hungary, and establish its East-European Headquarter.

Production: OBO Bettermann Hungary Kft. employes near 500 people and is one of the most significant production site within the OBO Bettermann Group in Europe.

Trading company: Since 2006 OBO Bettermann Kereskedelmi és Szolgáltató Kft. runs the exclusive trading activity for the hungarian market. The local field service ensures that OBO expertise can be used by customers everywhere. OBO has skilled specialists to support a smooth, quick and flexible business: from the drawing board through to perfect planning and logistics, all services are from one source.

Property development: All the facilities inside the industrial park are managed by OBO Bettermann Ingatlankezelő és Szolgáltató Kft. since 2006.
